Program Description:
ColbyLocated in the town of Waterville, Maine, Colby College provides an intimate experience, featuring unique arts, academic, and athletic resources. It offers an array of majors such as Economics, Environmental Science, Political Science/Government, as well as over 90 student-led clubs including outdoor activities, leadership, art, performance arts, sports, multicultural, and many more. Unique opportunities and experiences students can explore are the Colby College Museum of Art, the Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center, and the Davis Institute for Artificial Intelligence. Students may also enjoy outdoor activities via the Colby Outing club, the Colby Mountaineering Club, and Aidan's Climbing wall. 

Academic program:
Pomona College students enroll in, at a minimum, the equivalent of three Pomona College credits and a maximum of 4.75 Pomona College credits. Grades earned at Colby College will be calculated into the student’s Pomona College GPA.

Courses must follow the Transfer Credit Policy and should be reviewed by the student’s academic advisor. The Department Chair will ultimately decide if courses taken through the domestic exchange program apply towards the student’s major; students should consult with their Chair before completing the application.
Please keep in mind that General Education credit is not awarded for coursework taken on domestic programs as it must be taken at The Claremont Colleges.

Living arrangements:
Students will stay in one of Colby’s dormitories and will participate in the meal plan.

Colby College has a student body of approximately 2,100 students representing more than 45 states and 70 countries. This includes more than 27% students of color, more than 8% international students, and more than 10% first-generation students.

Pomona College student participation depends on interest. Historically, up to two students participate per semester.

Students receiving financial aid may also be eligible for financial assistance, if needed, for a travel allowance, which is a contribution towards the cost of round-trip flight, train, or bus transportation from the student's home city to the program site.
